A restaurant’s design is more than a backdrop—it sets the tone for the entire dining experience. At Cecconi’s Toorak, every element was carefully curated and crafted to create an atmosphere of understated luxury, and our bespoke metalwork plays a key role in shaping this impression. From the moment guests step inside, the interplay of aged metals, warm lighting, and rich natural textures establish a setting that feels both refined and welcoming. At the heart of this project was a commitment to craftsmanship and customization. Working closely with Travis Walton Architecture and Nextgen Joinery, our approach was tailored, careful and measured - extensive sampling and prototyping of each finish was required - while ensuring the overall timeline was met.
The aged brass finishes on the bar front and central bar unit were crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The bar front panels feature precise edge detailing, with smooth, consistent lines that seamlessly integrate into the overall design. A hand-patination process was applied to enhance their rich, textured tones, adding depth and character. The central bar unit, with its hand-rolled curves and precision fabrication, complements the bar front, creating a cohesive and sophisticated centrepiece that defines the space.
A testament to precision, artistry and architectural vision. Each door was meticulously crafted using precision folding techniques to ensure flawless edges and a perfect surface finish. The gradient ombre finish, achieved through a careful and deliberate hand-finishing process, adds depth and richness to the brass surfaces. This labour-intensive approach required an expert balance of heat, pressure, and patination to create the smooth transition of tones that you see today.
